The IoT in home appliances, IOT in manufacturing, Fintech we have seen what wasn’t even our dreams a decade ago. The IT sector has expanded way beyond computers, laptops, and phones. Nowadays, thanks to the Internet of Things, we are using smart washing machines, smartwatches, smart televisions, smart door locks, smart toys, smart refrigerators, and everything that connects to the internet.

This was all possible because of the IoT – Internet of Things connects the devices with each other over the internet to share data and regulate the performance. Industrialists have improved production by predicting the machine downtime, and increase worker safety with IoT. The regular consumer saves time and energy with IoT powered appliances. There are upsides and downside of technology. The biggest downside of IoT is the security concerns related to it.
The top IT analysts have made the following predictions about the Internet of Things.
There will be more than 21 billion IoT devices by the year 2025.
There will be an increase in cyberattacks as the devices running on the internet will be vulnerable to attacks sent by hackers.
Governments will approve more smart cities projects to save time and money in the future.
Alongside IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will grow exponentially well. It’s the next big thing along with IoT.
As everything will be connected via the internet. More speed is expected. 5G is on the way.
We have a couple of smart car manufacturers. There are more to come. Electric vehicles with internet inside are the future.
Governments will have to jump in security and privacy concerns when almost everything is on the internet.
